new sendmail package release 20071224
This release is currently in production on my servers, under sendmail 8.14.1.

Highlights:
Minor patch, primarily fixes support for outscatter checks in such a way
as to allow for proper distinctions to be drawn between legitimate and
illegitimate messages from specific hosts. For example, if host
foo.example.net ONLY sends outscatter as MAILER-DAEMON/null sender, the
'outscatter' dbm file would contain the line
foo.example.net [tab] O1
There are a dozen or so different classes of outscatter "senders", each
associated with a specific host that sends it. One unfortunate side effect
of the new checks is that I have a much smaller set of hosts for which
I have verifiable outscatter samples to use to determine the type of
sender it uses for its outscatter, so feel free to send me samples if you
want me to add to the distributable outscatter file.
NOTE: although you could probably use 'bouncers' and 'outscatter' at the
same time, it sort of defeats the purpose ;) So pick one. I've been
using the EL_Outscatter.m4 version for several weeks here, and it's
working fine, caveat above taken into account. I've not seen a lot of
non-O1 (<>/MAILER-DAEMON) outscatter here, so there may yet be bugs to
work out in the checks, but give it a shot - it at least fixes the issues
reported by Chris Candreva.
