DNS Zone Transfers Now Illegal in North Dakota
Apparently, judges in North Dakota are so poorly trained in recognizing the obvious that it is no longer safe to access any public information services hosted in that state, for fear of prosecution. For more on the story, which involves anti-spammer David Ritz, we take you to CircleID: North Dakota Judge Gets it Wrong. Be sure to toss in some cash for David's defense fund, if you haven't already. And if you have already, hey, it's a new year, and stupidity is as plentiful as hydrogen.
Oh, and be sure to read the Findings of Fact; apparently going by the nick "BOFH" is also grounds for a slapdown from the judge. What a pile of steaming nonsense that whole document is.
