new pats posted - 20090204 (maintenance pats release)
34547 patterns, 11314 right anchor strings, 136848 test IPs.
Contribs from past couple days, plus more QA, focused primarily on .edu
domains. I'm looking closer at any patterns classified as
generic/unknown, and trying to reduce the number through deeper
research. I'm trying to err on the side of caution, especially where the
naming is vague or may be used by different technologies (so the tech
classifier may not necessarily be accurate, but it's better than
unknown, and it's at least more likely to be correct than not). Let me
know if I screw anything up ;) I'm using the metric of "domain with the
most generic/unknown patterns" for now to figure out which to modify.
Also, I've started treating a lot of previously generic/unknown patterns
in .edus as static/lan, which seems more appropriate.
Was asked to start tracking couplets (pattern class and tech, taken
together as a sort of meta-identifier); there is one new couplet
in this release ('outmx/outlookwebaccess' for the webmail component
of MS Exchange).
