new pats posted - 20050825 (maintenance pats release)
NOTE: if you're using the latest pats, you should also be using the new
(e.g., newer than 20050302) package release.
ALSO NOTE: I'm going to be focusing on getting the "canonical" version
of the sendmail rules build finished soon; this will be the build that
strips out regexes that a right anchor will catch, as well as those that
match common left-anchored substrings. Soon thereafter, once the
sendmail folks have it in production, I'll probably stop adding patterns
that would already be matched by the left-anchor subs. Too many of the
new ones I see match already, and I don't see the gain in having 1800
regexes that all start with "host[0-9]" ;)
11341 patterns, 4309 right anchor strings. A few days' worth of pre-greeting
and spamtrap hits.
